2018-6-6 · I recently acquired a couple of used presses. A rock chucker IV and orange crusher. Is one any better than the other? They are close to the same except the RCBS will take the bushings that I may or may not use. I primary plan to use this press to size boolits. I have a Forster Coax for everything else. The RCBS is in better shape overall, but both are perfectly useable.
If I were to buy the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme deluxe reloading kit at cabelas for $737.99 delivered to my door, aside by the obvious ; lead, primers, cases, powder, and dies. What would anyone recommend for either extras or additional tools I may need? Most specifically I want to tune a .270 WSM.

2010-9-9 · The Rock Chucker is made with 100% steel, I think the Lee has a steel ram and an aluminum body. Either will work well, but if you plan on doing a lot of reloading and keeping the press for years, I'd go with the RCBS Rockchucker. I still have one bought at least 30 years ago, they just don't wear out.

I’m happy with it, the arm position works for me in my setup, and I’d get it again. But I can’t think of a reason to get it over a rock chucker, co-ax or T7, other than it just being what you want to get (I have read that it may be easier to deal with long magnum rounds, but I’m not shooting over .308 yet).

2009-8-29 · Your not alone, i started on a rock chucker in the early 70's, then got a lyman orange crusher in 1980, and have loaded thousands of rifle and pistol on it, although i still use it for rifle and some pistol, my main loader is my Dillon 650, ive got about 5000 rds through it, and love it, it's a awsome machine.
